Sydney Green Screen is offering to film a 90 second video in our studio for you. Here is a sample video:
Things you should know:
- Maximum 60 seconds duration - if you need longer then please buy multiple vouchers
- Maximum one hour studio time from arrival to departure
- You may supply a graphic or background - please use the submission form.
- The shot is mid shot, to the top of the leg. Full body requires extra lighting and setup, please add $25
- You may walk in and/or walk out - travel is 2 metres
- Music must be from one of our standard tracks. We can use your music for an additional $20 and this music must not be subject to copyright.
- Props are not included as these can require additional lighting, screen and time in set-up. We are happy to quote you for a more complicated setup
- Filming is limited to one person only, and one video only.
- Clothing: please avoid green and clothing that has strong narrow stripes, as these can appear to move once it is keyed. Strong patterns are fine. Also artificial fabrics do not key as well as natural fabrics - cotton & wool blends are best on-camera under any circumstances.
- You will have a mic fitted, and again artificial fabrics can generate static - natural fabrics mic better.
- Metal can interfere with our microphone, avoid heavy watches, chunky jewelery or clothing with lots of metal.
- Hair and makeup are not included, please come ready to shoot. We do have a change room you can use to get ready.
- If you wear heavy glasses these look really bad in front of camera. We strongly recommend you memorise your script and deliver it without your glasses. Alternatively consider having your piece recorded by someone else.
- Autocue is included, please supply your script in .txt format using the submission form. We will check it for duration and suggest changes where necessary.
- You may cancel once, the second cancellation will forfeit the voucher.
- Booking times: Monday - Friday first booking 9am last booking 6pm. Saturday first booking 10am last booking 4pm.
- Multiple vouchers must be used in blocks.
- Video will be provided in .mp4 or .mov format. The original HD files can be burnt to DVD for you @ $20 extra.
- Your completed video will be uploaded to our server for you to download.
- Changes to the video after editing with incur an editing charge unless it was our fault.

Tips for effective communicating
Your video will work if the person watching it connects with you. Your words are less important than how you deliver them - above all else be yourself, relax and smile. The video above shows how hard this is if you are not used to being in front of a camera - so practice this at home first in front of a mirror.
Always use a call to action at the end - there has to be a point to the video - so dont be afraid to ask for the sale or whatever you are hoping to achieve.
Shorter is better, if people want to know the "nuts and bolts" provide this as a page on your website - don't cram too much in to your video or people will tune out.
PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. Just because you wrote the script doesn't mean you can remember it, even with an autocue you must be familiar with what you are going to say.
Dont talk too fast or too slow - a good pace is best, and remember io enunciate - they wont get your message if they don't understand your words. If you have a strong accent get someone else to do your video for you.
